CHICAGO, IL - Following the botched raid on the home of Anjanette Young, all involved police officers will remain on desk duty until everybody forgets what happened.

CPD Supt. Gabriel McKinley, who is supervising the transition, stated, “What these officers did was reckless and irresponsible. I vow to make sure they are off the streets as long as the public can remember who they are, or at least until attention shifts to a different topic, like another botched raid.”

Mayor Lightfoot applauded the decision, adding, “I am heartened by the department’s swift actions, placing the officers on desk duty less than 2 years after the incident took place. Even if this is the only retribution they face, I still feel like we achieved true, lasting justice.”

Inside sources at the CPD have confirmed that the officers were told they will likely be back on the streets within a week or so.
